Hey, my name is Amy L. Kirner, and this is my online journal. Most of my entries are public, even though my dad frequently reads it. I graduated from Pace University in 2004 with a BS in Biology, and a Minor in Chemistry. A year later I tried to upgrade the Minor to a full BS but was denied due to silly regulations about only being able to earn one of a degree type. I currently work in Maniatis Lab at Columbia University, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (I think that's the coolest sounding department ever).
Private friends only entries are few and far in between. I feel that this limits the ability for me to say things I might later regret. I really don't like the idea of hurting others' feelings, even if I may be upset with them, because usually when I get upset it's not really a big deal.
I had a boyfriend for eight years, but then he dumped me. Ladies, if they don't want to put a ring on your finger after 2-3 years, they never will! Just a little bit bitter.
I have pdd-nos, which means I have an autism spectrum disorder, but it doesn't meet the qualifications for Asperger's, or classic autism. It's hard for me to get along with strangers, and it just makes the friends I have a little more special, since they are the ones who stuck around long enough to get to know the real me! Intense shyness, with a layer of awkardness, and a commplete inability to tell when people are being serious or not.
Sometimes I draw. Doodles and other assorted web graphics are posted to puruspeaches.
